East Bay Recovery Center hosts two publicly open, weekly peer-support group for anxiety management. The Tuesday afternoon meeting (5:30 to 6:30) is called “Find your Calm.”
Meetings feature traditional check-in processes, a brief introductory meditation activity of some form, and something new each week. Peer-support groups are led by licensed community health workers who are members of the staff at the East Bay Recovery Center. Occasionally, an invited guest leads the group.
Blue Skies participates in these meetings and provides a snapshot of the type of activity featured in each peer-support group session with the goal of helping those who may be thinking about participating to get a feel for what to expect. For a peek at the process, see the peer support blog page.
